This Community Library is one of the anchors of the Galeshewe Precinct Upgrades project. The library offers a wide range of resources and services for the community, catering to young children as well as adults. Here, patrons have access to technology, internet & other digital resources, reading and study spaces, book clubs and adult education workshops as well as small business support, to mention a few.

The proposed design creates two wings either side of the main entrance, the East Wing houses the Children's Library on the ground floor with Admin Offices, Boardroom and Classrooms upstairs. The West Wing caters to the High School, Tertiary and Adult patrons with Study Areas, Hot-desks, Computer Facilities. The design maximizes space by the provision of multiple adaptable environments. Natural light is maximised whilst ensuring books are protected from direct sun light.

Our mandate for this project was limited to the provision of Stage 1-4 Architectural Services.
